Winter in Southern Utah

Winter in Southern Utah brings magic when it snows... which doesn't happen at the lower elevations very often.  It's so nice to be able to see the snow but not be forced to "deal" with it.  That's why so many people from around the country purchase 2nd homes or retire here.  We have 300+ days of sunshine and plenty of activities to enjoy ranging from golf, tennis, skiing, hiking, mt. biking, cycling and rock climbing just to name a few.

Zion National Park is a must see.  If you do plan on visiting or are looking for a home in the area

Fall Colors in Zion National Park

"The wonders of creation testifies of the Creator that transcends words and brightens our soul."
Dave Diegelman

Life in Southern Utah offers many exquisite scenes but it's hard to beat Fall here in Zion.  The oppressive heat of summer has ended, there's a bite in the morning air and you can smell the earth with every breath.  As a photographer it's like being a kid in a candy store.

My wife recently got an Android phone with an HD camera.  She used to always have to wait for me on the trail, mind you not with a phone camera, but as of her new found passion for photography it's often me that's now waiting.

This year we've had a lot of late season rain in August and September, combined with an unusually mild Fall creating a memorable year for Autumn beauty.  I do offer photography workshops on my website, but unfortunately I have no more openings this Fall.
